How To Increase Internal Memory (Galaxy Ace)


Partition SD card (INCREASE INTERNAL MEMORY OF SAMSUNG GALAXY ACE GT-s5830i)

YOU NEED A ROOTED PHONE FOR THE PROCEDURE (How to root? - CLICK HERE)...

TO INCREASE YOUR INTERNAL MEMORY YOU NEED A PARTITION IN YOUR SD CARD-
THIS TUTORIAL IS BASED ON GALAXY ACE BUT YOU CAN DO IT ON ANY PHONE

1.) Download ClockWorkRec5830i.zip(CWM) for Galaxy Ace - CLICK HERE (CWM is different for each phone so if you have a different phone then search google for CWM for your device)
and download Link2sd - CLICK HERE.

2.) Backup your sd card data, because when partition is running your data will be delete.

3.) Copy the downloaded files to your sd card(NOT IN ANY FOLDER). Install LINK2SD, switch off your phone and then go to recovery mode (volume up+home+power) ,and then go to "apply update from sd card" then choose ClockWorkRec5830i.zip...

4.) Now you are in Clockwork Mode , choose "advance" and choose "partition SD CARD", for the next choose the space you want to partition(i prefer not to choose more than 1024M). And in next step choose 0M.
5.) After partition select "reboot recovery".
7.)  Then select "reboot system now".
8.) After reboot open Link2sd, select EXT3 as file system...
and restart your phone...[to restart press and hold lock key for 7sec.]
9.) Now partition is done and you can link files to sd card...

      do u apply this on the right ace? this only works on galaxy ace gt-s5830i.. it not working on gt-s5830 / gt-s5830C or others..

    when i am trying to select ext3, it is giving me error like, "Mount Script Error, Mount script can not be created Mount: No such device" Please advice what to do now.

      do u apply this on the right ace? this only works on galaxy ace gt-s5830i.. it not working on gt-s5830 / gt-s5830C or others.. if u are using the right ace, and u follow the instruction, it will be no problem..

    after i install this thing... it became more worst... i juz install facebook then thats the end... it keep say that my memory is full and cant even transfer a single file to my SD anymore... in fact my SD is 16GB...

      The facebook application takes up almost all of your internal memory, even when you're not on it. There's been a problem with the application for some time now; It pretty much eats up your internal storage. Download Facebook Messenger instead, work beautifully and It's twice as better. All your space will come back, trust me.

    Low Internal Memory is indeed a big problem in Samsung Ace..I hope now this can be taken care with the above mentioned method..:)

    I'm having a problm at the last process.
    When I try open link2sd an I choose Ext3 I receive a message "link2sd could not gain root access. If you have root access make sure you respond "Allow" to superuser prompt."

    What am I doing wrong??

    seems to be working as I can now move most of my apps to my sd card. I'm still getting warnings about low memory on my phone even tho' I partitioned my sd card into two 2Gb partitions. I can now see 1.75 Gb available space on my SD card but only 27 Mb of available space on my internal phone storage.
    Should I be seeing more internal storage space or have I done something wrong??
    Please help me on this one guys....

    Yeah it works. I already found another way to move apps to sd card (easy with a rooted phone) but it was fun to do.
    I wasn't to happy with downloading and installing CWM & Link2sd. They both had a trojan virus and more apps installed then I wanted. Lucky I got a great defense.

    I m having Samsung Ace5830 Phone.
    I am facing problem at step 8 :After reboot open Link2sd, select EXT3 as file system...
    when i go link2sd-->more-->recreate mount scriptsand select the ext3, i m getting error message as "Mount Script Error. Mount Script can not be created.not allowed to su.
    even i had installed the superuser app also but i m not aware how to use it for allowing the manuscript creation...i m checking that setting-->SD card and Phone memory setting ..i am seeing that 1 gb is reduced in SD card. which i created as partition..
    Please help me

      Okay, I installed Link2SD via Google play store, now I can open Link2SD, but it will only allow me to select EXT2.....
